ISIVC call for proposals

The fourth ISIVC will take place in the University of Deusto, Spain on July 9-11, 2008.

The International Symposium on Image/Video Communications over fixed and mobile networks was founded in 2000. Since then it has become an important event in the areas of digital image and video processing and digital communication.

The symposium will be organized by the PAS Group of University of Deusto, Spain, with the collaboration of the French chapter of the IEEE Signal Processing, Pole of Competences STIC (Morocco), Rabat-University, GET (Groupe des Ecoles des Télécommunications, France), and Ecole Supérieure des Communications de Tunis (SUP'COM).

Authors are invited to exchange their latest research, ideas and developments in all areas of fixed and wireless communications.

Please send proposals for Special Sessions to Amaia Méndez Zorrilla, University of Deusto

E-mail: amendez@eside.deusto.es

When submitting a special session proposal please send:

The title of the proposed special session A brief statement (300 words or so) explaining why the proposed special session is relevant/important/interesting/visionary

The list of prospective speakers (with affiliations) + preliminary titles of their talks

All oral sessions at ISIVC 2008 will consist of 5 presentations, each twenty minutes long. The first presentation of each special session may (but doesn't have to) be a brief tutorial. In special cases we may consider sessions consisting of two parts (5+5), each 100 minutes long, or even three parts (if there is a really good reason to do so).

Special session papers will be reviewed similarly to regular papers and submission does not guarantee acceptance. If less than four papers submitted to the special session are accepted after the review process, the special session will be cancelled. The program chair and the special session committee reserve the right to merge the papers into the regular sessions.
